Further to your request for a private commission:

Firstly, I'm flattered that you've asked me to paint something for you. Art is to be shared, and for one's work to be deemed worth displaying on someone's wall for all to see is an extreme honour to an artist. Thank you.

So - this initial non-refundable deposit of 50% of the final value of your piece will mean I shall progress to creating the work for you to your set parameters - should you have any queries at any time, you have my email (art@davidoakes.co.uk).

Occassionaly I shall create a draft work for your perusal and I shall send a digital scan of this draft, and following your feedback, I shall start creation of the completed design. Other times, depending on the subject matter, I shall jump straight in - either way, I shall keep you updated to the work's development - without spoiling the big reveal obviously.

Final payment of the remaining 50% is due prior to delivery.

If I have your permission, I would love to be able to use a digital scan of the finished piece on this website and through my social media outlets - I am, however, very happy not to do this should you wish so. This is your painting, for you, and no-one else. Basically - you say what you want, and to the best of my artistic ability, within reason, I shall aim to satisfy your wishes.
